Talkfest'16: resume, numbers and connection PT/ES

Talkfest had its 5th edition last week, with two days of activities that took place mainly at the FIL Meeting Center, in Lisbon. Conferences, presentations (professional and scientific), seminars, documentaries and professional meetings took place during the day. The networking and sharing atmosphere between companies and national/international speakers (including from Spain) was one of the highlights of the event. Many news were announced for the first time at Talkfest, as the Rock in Rio Academy in Portugal already in May, or the 3rd edition of the Festival Goer Profile Survey results (file available for Aporfest associates).

It was unanimous that the event is having an iberian character that can enhance the competitiveness in the sector (when compared to the rest of Europe) and allow to bring more artistic quality and new audiences. On the first night, the event was complemented with the ceremony of the Iberian Festival Awards that have distinguished Primavera Sound, Bilbao BBK, Bons Sons and FMM Sines as the Iberian festivals that won more categories (result of public and jury votes) as well as Miguel Cadete (journalist Expresso / Blitz) nominated for the Excellence Award. Next Saturday (12 March) the gala is going to be transmitted by Canal Q.

The closing session of the event was held at Musicbox, with concerts of Portuguese artists - Tó Trips, Benjamim and Pista. The next edition will take place in March 2017, in Portugal (Talkfest + Concerts) and Spain (Talkfest + Iberian Festival Awards). Who attended to Talkfest has found a new location that allowed the evolution of the event, permitting the accommodation of new audiences and attendees spend more time at the event, compared to previous editions. We would like to thank all APORFEST associates (they are the main support of the event), to the speakers and moderators in all the programme sections, to the sponsors and partners (including those who helped supporting Talkfest in advance: BTL / AIP, Festival Awards and A/C Española) not forgetting the team that allowed the event with precious human resources (Aplauso and We have Ideas) and of course the public that attended the event.
