Talkfest'17: Presence of the Wacken Open Air Director + 10 news and Iberian Festival Awards Host


Thomas Jensen, the director of the festival Wacken Open Air, which is considered to be the largest heavy metal festival in the world, and which takes place annually in Germany, will give a special masterclass at the end of the first day of the event " How to (consecutively) implement a successful festival! At the 8 conferences will pass many speakers from different areas : Luís Araújo (President Turismo Portugal); Luís Mendes Alves (Manager Porto Lazer); Miguel Guerra (Sponsorship & Events Manager Meo); Miguel Miranda (President IPMA – Instituto Português Mar e Atmosfera) and Carla Simões (Management & Booking Director Universal Music Portugal). The presentations, which are divided into two areas, also have new content: > Professional which will include projects from different areas: Polishows - technological evolution and light quality, sound and visualcomponent by António Ponte (director); Cordas - World Music Festival (win trip to Portugal’s highest mountain) by Terry Costa (artistic director) and Marginal Voluntariado - the evolution of the area of volunteering in the next two years? by Miguel Lopes (director). > Scientific to give data from dissertations and academic studies: The experience in music festivals (2014, Filipa Queirós, UAveiro). The 6th edition of Talkfest - International Music Festivals Forum will happen in Lisbon (9 and 10th March) at the Museum of Communications (Museu das Comunicações) and in Barcelona (Macba, 16thMarch). This year Talkfest will have many professional activities such as Conferences (main section); Presentations (Scientific and Professional); Seminars; Job fair and Documentaries. One of the goals for this edition is to create more technical tools for professionals and enhance their networking as well as to create more convenience to visitors. Iberian Festival Awards Hosts

Iberian Festival Awards will once again have hosts from each country. Pedro Luzindro (actor, comedian and screenwriter - Portugal) and Victoria Moyano (blogger and festivals community manager - Spain), being considered "new talents" in their areas and within their countries they will be responsible for linking the whole structure of the gala and making the interaction between winners, public and musical performances always with the good mood that characterizes them. The 2nd edition of the event will take place in Barcelona on the night of March 16 at the legendary MACBA - Museum of Contemporary Art. A gala (with musical performances and awards ceremony) will take place in the largest auditorium of the space, preceded by a dinner in the Restaurant En Ville.
