The 7th edition of Talkfest - International Music Festivals Forum will take place in Lisbon on March 15 and 16, 2018, highlighting new areas of programming. The Iberian Festival Awards, after being sold out in Barcelona, will have three new categories and a new regulation for the applications.
The first day of Talkfest, is exclusively for Iberian Festival Awards, with a gala (22 categories with Iberian and national winners + 1 excellence award + 3 live acts) in Fórum Lisboa (Alvalade), preceded by the exclusive dinner with finalists, jury panel and guests. The gala and its afterparty will have an open bar.
The applications for the 3rd edition of these awards will have their own regulation in order to differentiate the good work carried out by promoters, companies, media partners and artists throughout 2017: simplified application and possibility of valuing the application with confirmation of contributory situation in Portugal or Spain without debt.
There will be three new categories:
> Best Academic Festival (for musical events promoted by Student Associations and University);
> Best Lusophone and Hispanic Festival (for music festivals held in all Ibero-American and Portuguese-speaking countries); > Best Non-Music Festival (for festivals that do not have music as main attraction).
In the gala we will also deliver prizes to the national winners (and not just Iberian Winners as in previous editions).
The second day is dedicated to the "main event", with: conferences (with international keynote speakers); presentations (professional and scientific); seminars; documentaries; job fair.
There will be two new areas: exhibitions and an afterparty in Topo (Chiado).
In order to strengthen networking and the fortification of competences, two of the main objectives of the event, the conferences and professional presentations will be in greater number, increasing this way the number of topics discussed. The programming, simultaneously, will take place between the auditorium, 3 rooms and a foyer at Museu das Comunicações.
