PORTUGAL FESTIVITY
CULTURE SUMMIT
Where tradition meets management, culture, and the future.
Festivals and celebrations are one of Portugal's greatest cultural and social expressions. More than 350 are national in scope (featuring nationally or internationally booked artists) - a number that multiplies further when accounting for local-scale initiatives.
They take place in municipalities, towns, and cities, mobilise communities, attract thousands of visitors, and involve an extensive network of professionals, companies, artists, public entities, and partners.
But how are they evolving?
The Portugal Festivity Culture Summit was born within the scope of Talkfest – Music Fest Summit, to create a new space for meeting, reflection, and knowledge-sharing dedicated to popular festivals, celebrations, and traditions in Portugal. A space that brings together municipalities, promoters, producers, cultural agents, service providers, brands, and other stakeholders, opening up discussion on the challenges and opportunities of an activity that combines culture, tradition, tourism, local economy, entertainment, and territorial identity.
FROM THE TERRITORY TO THE STAGE. FROM KNOWLEDGE
TO ACTION.
Throughout the Summit, debates, interviews, and conversations with industry professionals will bring different perspectives on the evolution of festivities and on how they can continue to assert themselves in a context of social, economic, and technological transformation.
Among the guests will also be a keynote speaker linked to one of Spain's largest festivities, allowing for the establishment of an Iberian bridge and offering insight into models, strategies, and experiences that can inspire the Portuguese reality.

A NEW PLATFORM FOR A SECTOR THAT DESERVES GREATER DISCUSSION
The Portugal Festivity Culture Summit aims to contribute to greater professionalisation, appreciation, and recognition of festivities as cultural, social, and economic assets of their territories.
More than discussing events, we want to discuss who makes them happen, who experiences them, and the impact they leave behind.
Because a festival may last a few hours or a few days. But its impact remains throughout the year.
Municipalities • Promoters • Producers • Culture • Tourism • Companies • Service Providers • Regulatory/Supervisory Entities
A new platform to think about, share, and build the future of festivals and celebrations in Portugal.
