TALKFEST’16: news about conferences, presentations and seminars


Talkfest - International Music Festivals Forum will have its 5th edition on the 3rd and 4th of March in Lisbon (FIL, Meeting Center). The event has 7 sections: conferences, presentations (scientific and professional), seminars, documentaries, concerts, job fair and the integration of Iberian Festival Awards. In total, Talkfest will have more than 70 points of interest with the participation of speakers and national/ international organizations.

Today we announce: Conferences (Auditorium I or Auditorium BTL): Leonor Dias (Brand & Com. Vodafone); Ilídio Marques (booker Rock Nordeste) and Peter de Cuyper are the new names of this section, while Paulo Gonzo; David Carreira and Diogo Piçarra (artists) will be at the last conference of the first day - "The internationalization of music - online vs. live performance". Ana Carvalheda (producer RTP / Antena 1) is the newest moderator announced. Professional presentations (Auditorium II): How does technology improves the experience of the brand in a festival by Yumiwi (by German Coppola - CEO); Law & Events Legislation by MLGTS (Magda Fernandes and Andreia Guerreiro - lawyers) and The new lusofonia by Conexão Lusófona (Laura Vidal - director) will be new moments with the best experts of the fild and that will be good complements to increase professionalism in the music festivals sector. Scientific presentations (Auditorium III): Epidemiological surveillance systems in mass events (Boom Festival and Andanças) by Ricardo Mexia (Epidemiologist, Ministry of Health / Coord. of the health area in festivals), which like the other presentations announced, will serve to provide updated with credibility data and to find new solutions. Seminars (Room 2): Europe 2020 - preparation, submission, monitoring and implementation of applications for incentives by GlobalSeven (Alexandre Jaleco - CEO) and Brands Shaping Pop Culture by Católica Business School (Joana Santos Silva and Kyryl Lakishyk, Program Leading Brands Coordinators ) which will be used to meet the training needs of those who want to differentiate themselves and develope in the culture area. Section with limited seating. Iberian Festival Awards (BTL Auditorium): The nominees are already known and public vote available for the categories (e.g. Best Major Festival, Best New Festival; Best Camping Site, Best Live Performance, Best Media Partner) until 9 February.
