The 11th edition of TALKFEST – Music Fest Summit took place on the 11th and 17th of March, attended by more than 985 delegates over the two days in the various events: Iberian Festival Awards gala, Main Event (Conferences, Pitchstage, Women in Music Industry Stage, Research, Workshops, Docs, 1-to-1 Meetings) and Nigh Event (party curated by Deejay Kamala), in an edition with a record of shares and mentions on social networks.
With nearly 100 speakers (such as Jay Pidgeon – manager Vintage Culture and Claptone; Camille Guttieu – Founder Bye Bye Plastic, Nuria Pinto Rua – Primavera Sound, Plutonio, Ricardo Acto – Rock in Rio / The Town or Rául Duro – Made of You), coming from Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Brazil and an audience of more and more nationalities, the event increasingly represents a unique moment of networking and business in the festival sector, namely between promoters and service providers. At Talkfest, there were 6 stages with simultaneous programming and the “Women in Music Industry” Award was announced for the photographer Rita Carmo.
The gala, with the motto “The best share on stage”, awarded several festivals such as Rock in Rio Lisboa, Meo Kalorama, Festival Med, Bons Sons, Amplifest, Bilbao BBK Live, Noches del Botánico, Bime, Artbeerfest or Neopop, in 26 categories, receiving Carlos Seixas (Excellence Award - personality of the year) and the promoter LastTour (Excellence Award - entity of the year).
The event will return in 2024 and will take place on March 16th (in Spain) with the Iberian Festival Awards gala having a new city as “Host city” after Lisbon, Maia, Barcelona or Vigo and on March 22nd (in Lisbon) with the Main Event and Night Event with lots of news.
We leave a special thank you to APORFEST members, to the cities that hosted this edition (Municipality of Lisbon and Municipality of Maia), to the speakers and artists present in the programme, the public present and to the sponsors (Premium Partners - ArtCor, Frontal Audiovisuais and Fundação Inatel) and remaining partners (institutional, event and food & beverages) important in increasing the quality provided to all who went to Talkfest.
