Iberian Festival Awards (March 16, Barcelona) - first shortlisted names and jury panel announced


Top 10 of the categories decided by the public


The votes for the 2nd edition of Iberian Festival Awards ended on Sunday with a record amount of over 10,000 votes. These votes are used for the election of half of the 20 categories in competition.

The top 10 of each category were determined, and the announcement of the national and Iberian winners will take place on March 16th at MACBA, Barcelona.

Jury panel completed


The panel of judges will analyse the remaining categories. For this 2nd edition we’ll have a total of 9 judges - 3 Portuguese + 3 Spanish + 3 International. 1. Francisco Cabral (Brand Activation Fire Comunicação) 2. Pedro Primo Figueiredo (journalist Lusa) 3. Fernando Alvim (host Antena3 / consultant RTP) 4. Almudena Palacios (production and communication cultural events) 5. Katy Lema (journalist El País) 6. Sergio Figueiras (digital director Prisa Radios Music) 7. Pedro Nonato (partner Ultra Music Brasil / AFEM - Association for electronic music) 8. Jeske Eekelaar (sustainability coordinator Green Events) 9. Janis van Lokven (owner Janissimo / project manager Buma ROCKS!) They will analyse the nominees of the 9 categories and will nominate an Iberian personality with an important role, cooperativism and positive differentiation in the field of music festivals in 2016.

The 2nd edition of the Iberian Festival Awards will take place in Barcelona on the night of March 16th at the legendary MACBA - Museum of Contemporary Art. A gala with: 2 hosts (from Portugal and Spain); 3 Iberian musical performances and the award ceremony that will take place in the largest auditorium of the venue, preceded by a dinner in the Restaurant En Ville. Iberian Festival Awards are a partnership with the UK & European Festival Awards, promoted by Festival Awards, Ltd.

The 6th edition of Talkfest - International Music Festivals Forum will happen in Lisbon (9 and 10th March) at the Museum of Communications (Museu das Comunicações) and in Barcelona (Macba, 16thMarch). This year Talkfest will have many professional activities such as Conferences (main section); Presentations (Scientific and Professional); Seminars; Job fair and Documentaries. One of the goals for this edition is to create more technical tools for professionals and enhance their networking as well as to create more convenience to visitors. Talkfest is considered an event of cultural interest by the Portuguese Government.
