New speakers for the conferences and last live acts for the Iberian Festival Awards gala


Today we announce a new set of speakers of the programmes main day (25 March) as well as the last live acts for the Iberian Festival Awards gala:


- Tim (Conferences/ Speaker - Music Artist, Xustos & Pontapés)

One of the greatest heroes of Portuguese music and not only because of his position as vocalist of the most enduring rock machine of Portugal, Xutos & Pontapés, but also because Tim has been for so long a voice defending the noble art of writing and singing in our own language. In this sense, he offers the Portuguese imaginary and the national songbook countless “pieces of art” that are truly part of the Portuguese culture, from "Remar Remar" to "Contentores". Tim’s voice and personality have also marked other adventures such as Resistência or Rio Grande with "Postal dos Correios".


- Ana Filipa Flores (Conferences/ Speaker - Multimedia Team Coordenator, Festim, Outonalidades)

Master in Multimedia Communication from the University of Aveiro and Degree in Social Communication from the School of Education of Coimbra, Ana is specialized in content production for new media, developing several projects in the area of video, photojournalism and television production. Since 2012, Ana is part of d'Orfeu Associação Cultural team, as Executive Coordinator and responsible for the Communication department, where she makes video/photo reports of several cultural events and produces promotional videos of the association's activities.


- Joana Raposo Santos (Conferences/ Moderator - Journalist, RTP)

With a degree in Communication and Culture and a Master's in Communication Sciences, Joana has been a journalist in RTP's online news website for four years. There she writes every day about the most varied national and international topics, from politics to justice. Before diving professionally into journalism, Joana was a communication advisor and event manager in the medical field. Outside the newsroom, she spends her time mainly on literature, music, and cinema.


- José Amaral (Conferences/ Speaker - Artistic Director, Santa Maria Blues)

Born in 1962 (like the Beatles and the Rolling Stones) in the Azores, in a cosmopolitan bay environment. José professional background is in the aeronautical area, as a specialist in Information and Communications. He soon discovered his passion for music and started taking piano lessons at the age of 9. He produces radio programs. After several collaborations with the production of music festivals and other events, in 2014 he took over the artistic direction of the Santa Maria Blues Festival. In 2019, for the 1st time in Portugal he organizes in Ponta Delgada, the European Blues Challenge.


- Mariana Batsyk (Conferences/ Speaker - Brand & Events Manager, YCON)

Born in Ukraine and with her heart in Portugal since she was 5 years old. Since an early age she knew that communication, creativity and people would have to be part of her path, having taken her degree in Communication Sciences at the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Política, Universidade de Lisboa. For the last 6 years she has been working in the area she chose. Her career began with an internship at Partners, and then moved on to NIU and Stone Capital. Since 2020, she has been at YCON, an events and communication agency where she currently holds the position of Brand & Events Supervisor.


- Miguel Alberto Pacheco (Conferences/ Speaker - Mkt & Commercial Manager, Brace-In)

Graduated in Marketing and Post-graduated in Management from ISCAP. He started managing the marketing department of a small company in Maia and moved to Heliotextil where he focuses on developing and launching new products for the industry in the promotional area. He started working on the Brace-in project and is now responsible for the marketing area and commercial team supporting the event promoters for which he provides service and guarantees the most varied technological solutions.


- Pedro Abelha (Conferences/ Speaker - Mkt & Com. Global Director, Trace Made in Africa and LGBT+ Music Festival)

Current CMO of Apollon Group where he is responsible for the Communication and Marketing of the recently announced Trace Made in Africa and LGBT+ Music Festival. He was Director of Marketing and Communication for Sociedade Lusa de Espetáculos - SLE - 2011- 2020 and during this period he was responsible for the entire marketing and communication strategy of the company, ticket sales, brand relations and organization of events/festivals. In recent years, he helped in the production of several events, such as: RFM SOMNII - The Greatest Sunset Ever; Afro Nation Portugal - The biggest Afro Beats festival in the world; Andrea Bocelli; José Carreras; I Am Hardwell; Swedish House Mafia or Solaris Sunset Empire. He was founder and CEO of Mai Magazine (digital communication agency) - one of the only agencies in Portugal that produced multimedia content for the biggest national and international festivals like Amsterdam Dance Event, I Am Hardwell (Netherlands, Turkey, Portugal), Palmesus (biggest Festival in Scandinavia), Axwell & Ingrosso, or Amsterdam Dance Event.

- Rui Bandeira (Conferences/ Speaker - Photographer)

He was born in Porto and studied music at the Conservatório de Música do Porto. In photography he did not take any course, doing non-conventional training, and still does today. As a concert photographer he has worked directly with artists / bands like: Ana Moura, Carlos do Carmo, Carolina Deslandes, Caetano Veloso, Deolinda, Gilberto Gil, Jimmy P, Mariza, Quinta do Bill, Pedro Abrunhosa, Rui Veloso, Santamaria, UHF among many others. As a photographer of Festivals he did several, from north to south of the country, such as MEO Mares Vivas, MEOSW, Festival F, Festival Sons em Trânsito, Viana Bate Forte, Juntos por Todos, North Music Fest, among others, where he has had the opportunity to photograph many international bands.






The Iberian Festival Awards gala is now complete with two more announced live acts: Yagmar (Portuguese band with explosion of senses in rock and electronics that has already been confirmed on the night of concerts) and the Anabel Lee (Spanish band with influence on punk that will not leave the audience indifferent). They are joined by the already confirmed: Filipe Karlsson, Constance Quinteiro, Rufus T. Firefly and Amatria! For the afterparty is Cumbia through mexican DJ Bruno Zayas and his project Ritmos Cholulteka.
